Nestled in the heart of Silverton, Colorado, MOVE| Yoga & Fitness Studio invites you to join us for a 4 day, 3 night unforgettable retreat this September. Located in the San Juan Mountain Range, you will be surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the mountains during the yearly transition of leaves, painting the Silverton landscape in vibrant fall hues of yellow and orange. Stunning views will create the perfect backdrop for a transformative yoga experience. Whether you are looking to deepen your practice, reconnect with nature, or simply find peace and relaxation, this retreat offers a sanctuary for mind, body, and spirit.

Your instructor will guide you through daily yoga sessions designed to enhance your physical and mental well-being, while our carefully curated vegan food menu and outdoor activities led by local professionals will inspire and rejuvenate your soul. About Silverton, Colorado
Silverton, Colorado is a hub for adventurers, professional athletes, and explorers of all kinds. Previously a mining town, Silverton turned its focus to tourism in the early 2000’s. With roughly 700 residents year round, this small and quaint town offers a unique environment for folks to recreate mindfully. As owners of MOVE, we welcome you to our small mountain town with open arms. We hope to ensure you have a wonderful experience during your time here.

Lodging
The Retreat House is a luxury modern home newly built here in Silverton.
– Sleeps 8 people, with 1 King Bed, 4 Twin Bunk Beds, and an additional bedroom with 2 twin beds.
–Prices for the following rooms/beds (cost is the total price for lodging, food, and yoga retreat)
1 King Bed- $1400 each (2 people must book this room that are arriving together)
1 Double Twin Bedroom- $1200 per person
1 Bunkroom with 4 Twin beds- $1100 per person
If you are a local, please email us in regards to what the locals price option is.
– 10 minute walk to the studio. Some bikes will be provided to guests if they would like to bike each day.
– If you are attending with a friend or partner, please book the King Bedroom or Double Twin Bedroom.
Food & Beverage
Included in the cost of your retreat registration is Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner specifically vegan meals handcrafted by Silverton local chef, Sophie Blue. You will be responsible for any snacks throughout the day. We kindly ask that you refrain from alcoholic beverages during this retreat. Our goal during your 4 day stay is to serve cleansing wholesome meals to ensure you leave Silverton rejuvenated.
Things to do in Silverton
We are excited to share our small mountain town with you all and show you what its all about. In addition to all of our amazing outdoor activities, here are a few things that you can do during your scheduled free time:
- Explore the fall colors. Ask Sarah where the best short hikes are around town to explore the fall colors during this time.
- Get a massage by a local masseuse- please reach out to us at least 2 weeks before the retreat starts so we can schedule this for you. Price is dependent on time and type of massage.
- Book a spa appointment at the Wildcrafter Spa across, right across the street from the MOVE studio. This includes a sauna, hot tubs, and steam shower. Call Wendy at 970.387.5555 to book a time prior.
- Facials or body treatments- Head over to the Wildcrafter Spa, right across the street from the MOVE studio and receive a wonderful facial or body treatment by Madison Moser. You can book Maddie on our booking platform here. Similar to the massage appointments, make sure to book Maddie at least two weeks out to ensure you can receive a treatment during our free time. - Take a tour of the Silverton Mining Museum. This historical center of archives is a really great way to get to know the locals and explore the history of Silverton. Located right next to the country courthouse, this is about a 5-minute walk from the studio or a 10-minute walk from the Retreat House.
- Sip coffee and read your favorite book on the roof top of the Coffee Bear Coffee Shop. Silvertons local hangout spot, the Coffee Bear is owned by one of our yoga instructors and is an absolute gem when it comes to our local spots.
- Take a tour of the Old One Hundred Mine out at Cunningham Gulch. Transportation is not included for this excursion.
- Shop at local vintage store, NOMAD, and get your picture taken at the Old Timers Booth.
- Rent an E-bike or shop at our local outdoor store, Cripple Creek Backcountry, right next door to the Coffee Bear coffee shop.
Transportation
We recommend that you fly into either Montrose Airport (1.5 hr to Silverton without traffic) or Durango Airport (1.5 hr to Silverton without traffic) on Thursday. Transportation is not included for this retreat, so please reach out to us for ride recommendations to and from each airport. There are several options. Most activities during the retreat will be walking distance from the retreat house and the MOVE Studio. If you are renting a car, feel free to reach out to us to see if any other folks would like to go in on the car rental with you. MOVE is not liable for any damages or issues that occur with your car rental.
Cancellation Policy
To register for the retreat, you must reach out to us through the submission form to be sent a registration link. You will agree and sign our studio waiver. At this time we will require a 50% deposit of total costs. You may cancel at any time on or before June 30th and receive a full refund of this deposit. Cancellations after July 1st will not be subject to a refund. This is to ensure that the studio does not lose money on the vacation rental and hiring our cook, guide, and yoga teacher. If you agree to our contract, you agree to the cancellation policy and have read it in depth. We understand that sometimes folks have emergency situations last minute, so we will do our best to try to fill your spot if need be. The second half of your payment will be charged 14 days before the start of your trip.
Our Team

Misti Anderson- Co-Owner & Retreat Yoga Instructor
Misti Anderson is the Yoga & Mindfulness Director at Move Yoga & Fitness Studio in Silverton, Colorado. With over 15 years of experience in the medical device industry, Misti transitioned to a fulfilling career as a yoga teacher and studio owner. Her passion for wellness extends beyond the studio; she also serves as the Library Director at the Silverton Public Library. Misti loves spending time with her family, skiing, biking, and exploring the great outdoors. An avid reader and adventurer, she enjoys traveling and embracing new experiences.
Sophie Blue- Retreat Chef
Growing up in the Rocky Mountains, Sophie spent the last 14 years on the East coast attending college and working in the food industry. After university and completing her yoga teacher training she co-founded an organic fruit and nut bar company based in Washington, DC. Leaning on her passion of spreading healthy food to the masses, Sophie then worked as a chef teaching children in Miami how to prepare nutritious meals. Sophie attended the Ecole de Boulangerie et de Pâtisserie, the first school in France dedicated to bakery and pastry. She’s so excited to finally be back in Colorado, and wonderful Silverton, at that, to share healthy and wholesome food with this incredible community! If she’s not in the kitchen you can find her in the mountains.


Sarah Moore- Co-Owner
Sarah grew up in Va Beach, VA moving to Durango, CO in 2015. She attend Fort Lewis College and fell deeply in love with the San Juans which eventually led her to move to Silverton during the summer of 2021. Sarah has a deep love for adventure and travel, where she has explored a number of third world countries and some of the worlds highest peaks, including North Americas tallest peak, Denali.
Sarah carries a number of different titles in Silverton including Director for the local economic development non-profit, San Juan Development Association and Co-Owner of MOVE. Sarah is grateful to be a part of an all women’s team at MOVE, including co-owners Kim, Jessie, and Misti. Fun fact: Sarah’s alter ego is someday she wants to become a Disco-House DJ and start her own clothing brand.
Kim Grant- Co-Owner
Kim has made her home here in Silverton since 2004 where she finds true joy living, working and adventuring in the mountains and the rivers of the San Juan’s. She is so grateful to be part owner of MOVE with Sarah, Jessie and Misti and can’t wait to welcome you to our beautiful, peaceful mountain hamlet.


Jessie Rowe- Co-Owner
Jessie Rowe has wanted to live in Silverton, Colorado since she was 7 years old and learned that you couldn’t build a house and be on the grid in the middle of the Weminuche Wilderness. She lives with her husband and golden retriever two blocks from MOVE and and skis and hikes in the Weminuche as much as possible. In her spare time, she enjoys serving on the MOVE Board of Directors as the studio’s financial officer and dabbles in ceramics.
